Wonderpup Academy's one-of-a-kind philosophy fosters a family and children-centric model to avoid dangerous situations from ever occurring. Our training revolves around building the foundation to understand and encourage bonding, confidence, focus, and curiosity for your pup as part of your family. We strive to build a safe and loving home through our Training, Private School for Dogs, and Community Events.

Our Why

Kierin's deep gratitude for dogs came from Kenzie, a Service Dog she trained for her husband to assist him in living a healthy and fulfilling life as a Type 1 Diabetic. Her passion transitioned her to become an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Trainer for for the past 6 years in Bellingham, WA, and New Westminster, BC.

Now with more people needing assistance with behaviors and manners for their dogs, Wonderpup Academy's mission and passion comes from wanting to help provide the openness and understanding to

encourage a loving and safe partnership with the entire family.

With her past education and work experience as a Primary School Teacher and her science degree in Dental Hygiene, she understands the importance of continuing education and focusing on building lasting relationships in her community.
Now she is striving to help New Westminster's community with Wonderpup Academy's unique family-focus teaching style to help everyone stay safe and create stronger bonds with their dogs.

Experience

Six years and counting as a Service Dog Trainer.
Certified Bite Prevention Educator.
AKC Evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen Programs(CGC), which includes S.T.A.R puppy, Community Canine, Urban CGC, AKC Therapy Dog, AKC Trick Dog, AKC FIT DOG, and AKC Temperament Test.

Trained 3 Diabetic Service Dogs, 4 Anxiety/PTSD Service Dogs, and 1 Mobility Dog.
Trained 2 therapy dogs that have passed the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Evaluation.
